I am as exhausted as I was before I left for the Holidays... Not that nothing very exciting happened. (well, exciting in a good way)
We had two quiet dinners for Christmas and New Year's. Everyone is either sick or... dead.
And on the 2nd day, (Jan. 2) I was spending a quiet evening at home, working on the computer with my mom when we heard a noise. I thought it was simply the neighbour's dog but when we opened the curtain, a man jumped down a ladder he has placed by my window and ran away. HE WAS COMING AT THE WINDOW!! We called the police, who arrived not long after and caught the man in question. They spent the rest of the night taking pictures of the footprints in the snow and the ladder by my window. Let's just say that I haven't slept soundly ever since. I mean, there are over 50 condos on three floors and that guy had to come to mine! -- Of all the windows in all of the city, he had to climb to mine...

Not much to say... too much work, not enough time! I didn't even have a chance to go to the movies in 2 weeks!! *eek* This weekend, I HAVE to go... I really want to see "In Good Company"!
Oh, you have to listen to Michael's upcoming song, "Home"... the most beautiful I've ever heard...

But I also have a dilemma! i don't know if I should keep my current logo or go with my new (cleaner) one! My mom prefers the style of the old one but it's a lot harder to work with. So could you please take a minute and vote on my board? *puppy eyes* It would really mean a lot...

I really can't wait to sit down and enjoy a book again... I was going through my archives to clean them up and saw the "Coffee & Kung Fu" blurb I wrote. I started reading 2 more books but can't seem to find the time to sit down..."Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix" (which I would like to finish before the movie comes out... for once!) and "The Bride Stripped Bare".

I saw "Hitch" last night with my mom! A very funny movie, I really enjoyed it!! I know, I know... I watch a movie instead of reading... it's quicker!

I finally saw "Constantine" last night, and would be ready to go back... it is SO goooooooooood!!!

And as Jeff gave me the crazy idea not long ago of creating a site for my (crazy) cats... you know what? I think I will! I have been surfing this guy's site for a while now and reading his comic strip, "The Mows" and they remind me so much of my furballs. (see below for daily strips)
And I'm not afraid to admit it... I don't have much of a life anyway, working, eating, sleeping, watching movies, updating the sites and going for a walk once it a while (I need fresh air!) the cats are the "high" of my day and the ones who make me laugh... they deserve their page (and I'm sure "they'll" have more to say than me!).... Gosh, how much of a loser am I?

March already... time flies!
No, I haven't seen "Constantine"... but "Cursed" and it's, well... not the best but not all crap.
I was a bit bummed out that "Million Dollar Baby" won so many Oscars on Sunday. Is it because it's Clint Eastwood's film or what? IT'S THE SAME STORY as "Girlfight" with Michelle Rodriguez and frankly, she is a lot more convincing as a boxer than Hilary Swank! Can't she play like, a regular girl for once?!
Thank God Jamie Foxx won for best actor!! If he hadn't... I don't know what I would have done...

Few updates... busy busy! Changed the living room around... again! (I'm a freak, I know!) But I once heard that to change is to be perfect... I like that! I never thought that I would be anxious to go shopping for flowers for the Spring. I am the worse gardener in the world (I killed my Hybiscus last week *cry*) so hopefully what I will get will be colorful... and though!

I'll start off by saying "HAPPY BELATED EASTER!" I hope you had lots of yummy chocolates...

As for me, I don't think I've had a weirder weekend in my life. (Good weird) My mom says it could make a movie.
This is kind of personal, but I have to vent.. so here goes:

Four years ago, I broke up with my boyfriend. I heard he was devastated for a while. =( A few months later, he got into a car accident and was in a coma for a month and a half. Luckily he came out of it, but with quite a few memory loss...
His mom never allowed me to visit him, not knowing how he would react. I felt like sh*t...
Well, I saw him this weekend. He was at the mall... and without thinking, I went up to him asking if he remembered me. After a few moments, he looked at me and said: "Are you Andreanne?" -- "No" -- (pause) "Janie?" -- "Hmm hmm" We chatted for a couple of hours, vaguely remembering the past and exchanging news from the past few years. It was a bittersweet moment, and I still don't know how to react but I have this funny feeling in the back of my head like it was meant to be.
Now to be clear, we are just friends but I am hoping that I will be able to help him make more progress. He's not completely out of the woods and still lots to re-learn but it was just so nice to see him alive and well!!

TGIF! 'Hope you like the new design... I wanted to go with a 'light' version (for Spring) and started out with the nice purple design but ended up putting more black than I thought! Ah well... what's done is done. I'll go with a pink design for summer (hopefully)
My dad would have turned 53 yesterday. Weird thing is, from the moment I woke up, I could smell his perfume. When I told my mom, she said... well, it would be his birthday! WOW! BONNE FÊTE DAD!!! (((((((((ANGEL HUG)))))))))))

I made my first lasagna this weekend (for my mom's birthday) and am happy to say that I did not make anyone sick... it was actually quite good! Yayy! Oh, and the cake was yuuuuummy!! hee hee!

All I can say is WOW! The woman is a genius!! My mom sent me this beautiful poem entitled "See Ya Dad" (which made me cry) so I had to see what else she had written. ...Simply beautiful is all I can say! You must have read "An Angel In Your Pocket" which has become quite popular in 'forwards' but she was sadly not given credit...
If I have kids one day, I'd love to have a book with some of her poems. So nice and inspiring, you can't help but have a smile on your face!

Duh! Well, I saw "The Interpreter" in advanced screening on Wednesday night! I had won "At Work Music Director of the Day" at my local radio station on Monday. I had to pick 5 songs and if they decided to play them, I'd win! So I saw the movie, which was REALLY good! 'Got a $25 gift certificate at Mailboxes Etc. (I'll finally be able to have some business cards printed!), 2 mugs from the radio station, a t-shirt and a cap from "The Interpreter"! Yay!

I have been playing around with a small Elvis Presley site... at work! Shhhh....
Not much, but it's a start! Plus, I wanted to do that to showcase some of the AMAZING paintings my aunt did! When you see them, your jaw will drop, literally! I love to draw and paint but don't go to her ankle!!

On a more boring subject... but nonetheless important, I am currently transfering my domain to a new server (with more space since I maxed this one out!) So if the site is down for a few days, don't panic! I'll be back and have space for more content (and videos of Michael... yay!) To give you an idea, I had 350Mb and will have 20Gb (that's 20,000Mb of space!!) Now I'm in business!

I don't really feel like chatting, but Popcorn is leaving... My allergies are worse, he keeps eating my flowers and making a mess of any potted plant. Good new is that he is going to live with my cousin Patrick (see below) and his new bride! I'm still heartbroken (and I'm sure that Suki will also be) but I also think it's for the best and I know he'll have a good home..
Plus Patrick just told me that his cat ran away last night... I don't know if this is a coincidence but I still believe that everything happens for a reason. *sigh*

BACK & FORTH! Popcorn is back again! I brought him at my cousin's place on Thursday, he got under the bed and didn't come out once... not to eat, not to drink...nothing! So I picked him up on Saturday and he purred the whole ride home. As soon as he got in the house, Suki came up to him and started brushing up against him. Oh, let's not forget that Suki (who never meows) cried the entire 2 nights Popcorn was away! I've never seen that... they simply can't be separated! I am happy to have him back (again) though. I just have to leave my vaccum out permanently I guess... Ha! ha!

Wow, I have been away for a long time!! A month almost! You must be wondering where I have been...
PART 1... The Michael Bublé show!
You will see the pictures here first because they're not on the MB site yet!

I feel like I have told the story like, a gazillion times but here we go again...
I was lucky enough to go to the soundcheck and get a few things signed (which will be drawn on the site very soon) I must say that Michael wasn't himself but who am I to blame, the poor guy is exhausted. I didn't get a chance to chat with him much but am still on cloud 9 for just being there, something that not many fans have experienced (I mean, just seeing Michael wearing jeans was worth it!) The lady beside Michael (media manager) in the first photo took a picture of us... but it's still in her camera! When I got there, she remembered me from last year's newspaper!

*SPOILER* I haven't laughed that hard in so long! The comedian who warms up the crowd was HILARIOUS! Thank God I have seen the show twice, his jokes were the best! The ducks hibernating under the ice still make me giggle! And how are you? Whooooooo!!!! The rest of the show pretty much speaks for itself... The Jerry Lewis/Buddy Holly skit, "How you doin'?..." - Michael didn't understand why our city changed name plus the fact that we're right beside Ottawa, he asked while jumping around: "I'm in Hull, I'm in Gatineau, I'm in Ottawa, I'm a buffalo!" HA HA!! Have a look at some pictures...

PART 2... Gizmo
Gizmo was getting old... really old (16 years old, which is about 85 in human years) and we had decided to ive him away to friends who live in a more wooden area where he could run free like he used to when he was younger. We were afraid he would be run over in our parking lot. He spent his days lounging in the sun but always came back when we got home from work... Well, we didn't act fast enough. On Sunday night, he didn't come back; my sister got a call from a friend who lives not far away. She told her that Gizmo had an accident, he got hit by a car and was lying on the side of the road... She brought back his medals that night.

1988-2005

PART 3... Well, the rest pretty much!
I spent last weekend at the Hilton, 2 BLOCKS from my house! it was nice just to be out of the house and have a change of environment! We had a great dinner on the terrasse overlooking the casino and Leamy lake and spent the rest of the time in the pool! Ahhhh... Oh, and the bathroom was just... wow! I took a picture (and will upload it soon!)
Popcorn is now naked, I had him shaved! At least he won't shed too much this summer and I won't have to follow him around the house with the vaccum! He's so cute!! He look like a lion female lion! Hee hee!

Last but not least... *drum roll*, because of all the sh*t we've been going through lately (I'm only telling you the good stuf here...) my mom decided we needed a good vacation! She booked an 8-day trip to Disney!! We will spend 3 days at Walt Disney World & the rest of the time on a cruise to Cayman Cay and the Bahamas! Whaaaaaaa!! I can't wait!!!!

I'm still alive! I'm still alive!! 'Just too pooped to reply... I'd sleep for a week. And I still have to prepare for my vacation! Ahhhh, I can't wait to leave! Just to go snorkelling and spend some time in the sun! Now matter how much self-tanner I put on, I still feel like a ghost. I really, REALLY need some time in the sun. And not just because I'm ready to tear the head off a few people...

Same old, same old... I'm just impatiently waiting for my trip! I have just finished re-designing a website for a friend. And I don't think no harm will be done if I post the practice link here (since they want it to be a surprise for their followers) { ACTUM IMAGO } Oh, and I've changed my main page again... I hated the orange-yellow one. It's looks nice as a wallpaper on my screen but not as a site. { JAZZYUTOPIA } And it can't get more clean and simple than that...

I'm a slacker, I know! I still haven't got around to upload my travel photos on my computer! *blush* I wil have them online soon though, I promise!! I will include them in this post ASAP!

Well, I had the most wonderful time! We left on July 20th at 5am and got to Orlando at 4pm... Too pooped to even go out at Pleasure Island, we stayed at the "Pop Century" resort and spent the evening in the bowling pin-shaped pool!

We then spent the next 3 days in the Disney parks, starting with "Magic Kingdom", then "Animal Kingdom"—thinking we'd go have dinner at Epcot in "Mexico" or "Japan" but it was just too hot (105F the whole trip) that we just headed back to the hotel (Port Orleans—that I highly recommend!!) and swam in the Hippi-Dippi Pool the entire evening!

Next day was at the MGM Studios. I was in Heaven! 'Wait 'till you see the "Sunset Booulevard" pictures! It looks like we step in Hollywood in the 1940s!

And then we were off to Port Canaveral to board the Disney Wonder! This was actually our first time cruising but definitely not our last!! It couldn't be more perfect, not a glitch,,, it really feels out of this world!

The boat was mainly travelling by night so in case you are wondering, no, we barely felt the waves, except perhaps a bit on the last day since we were at sea, travelling at 6 knots. There were shows in the Grand Theatre evey night, mini Disney Broadway shows! First was "Hercules", then the "Golden Mickeys" (sort of an Oscar show) and the farewell show "Dreams"! We skipped the puppets/ventriloquist show, because, well... you know!

Every night we were dining in a different restaurant on the boat! There was "Parrot Cay", a tropical theme with bananas, birds and palm trees all over the place; then "Triton", a chic & classy place with an Ariel mural and an under the sea feel! And "Animator's Palate", covered with Disney sketches and as each course comes, becomes more and more colourful!

We spent the first day in Nassau, where my sister and I got our hair braided and shopped for a bit but the people, even though very nice are very invasive. It is such a poor place that they will do anything to sell you stuff. Let's just say that my sister and I weren't very comfortable but we had a good time nonetheless!

The second stop was at "Castaway Cay", Disney's private island in the Bahamas! Sheer Heaven!! We spent the day snorkeling, lying on the beach and swimming in the ocean (I felt like I ate a whole bag of chips, it was so salted!) In the end, we got sunburnt and now have palm tree leaves patterns all over our legs!

Last day on the sea was spent dodging the sun as much as possible, preparing our luggage and papers for our return and looking at the infinite sea all around us! I'd go back in a heartbeat!!

OK now you can't be mad... I had ALL the best intentions in bringing my photo chip but I forgot the darn cable!! AGAIN!! And I just can't seem to catch up on my sleep...

I have also started reading "Memoirs of a Geisha" and it's marvelous!! Did you know that the movie is coming out this December? It will star Zhang Ziyi from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and Michelle Yeoh!
